Ashtrays of this size and shape were made from the very beginning of Peter Pots, though they were only shown in the 1955 catalog. This example is from the mid 1960s and bears the signature of Mrs. Carsten, who did the signing between about 1960 and 1971. This ashtray has deep Mahogany Brown glaze and a lustrous surface. Some slight scuffing on the top edges from normal light use. 4” x 4.5”, about 1” deep.
