Gladding's Grapes Pitcher early 1960s
$69.00
These pitchers were made as a promotional item in the early 1960s for Gladding’s, a famous woman's clothing store in downtown Providence. Their bunch of grapes logo is the oldest in the United States, dating to 1766. (Gladding's, Shepard's, Cherry & Webb, Peerless, and the Outlet Co. were the major downtown stores; all gone now.) This pitcher in Mahogany Brown glaze is a fine and delicate example with well-defined grapes and in perfect condition. 3 1/2” height.
